I'm trying to wean users off using 'miscellaneous' kinds of codes and one has asked for a code for kennel services i.e. housing stray dogs.
Any ideas?

We could change: Environmental Service: Pest Control to: Environmental Service: Pest and Animal Control? This could be introduced immediately as it is only a slight change to the heading. Anyone have any other thoughts? |

I have looked at Cleaning Services for several councils and can find no reference to sweeping up stray dogs, just the mess they leave behind. Street Cleaning seems to only include waste collection and street cleansing, through mechanical sweeping and street washing, plus various other special cleaning machines However some councils have their stray dog service under the parent body of Environment Directorate Regulatory Services Pest Control. I also understand that stray horses are now becoming a similar problem. |

If the aforementioned heading were expanded to include general animal control, that would probably be the most suitable category. I will speak to Terry about making this change official. |
